Aphrodite Divine Confections is a national B2B dessert manufacturer serving the food service and hospitality industries. Their products—from gooey cookies to decadent "togas"—are high-end culinary assets that require both a luxury presentation and precise technical specifications for distributors.

The Challenge

The "Indulgence vs. Information" Gap: Aphrodite faced a classic industrial-creative conflict. They needed to showcase their products with a high-end "visual feast" to attract chefs and buyers, but they also needed a rigid system to handle complex B2B data: Dynamic Specifications: Products come in multiple sizes and configurations, each requiring distinct baking instructions, ingredient lists, and spec sheets. Content Friction: The internal team was struggling to keep the site updated, often worrying about breaking layouts when adding new SKUs. Sales Enablement: The sales team lacked a centralized "hub" where they could quickly access and share marketing assets and technical PDFs with potential partners.

The Strategy

A Website Designed to Be Used—Not Tiptoed Around

Aphrodite Divine Confections needed a site that could handle luxury presentation and operational complexity—without requiring their team to worry about breaking layouts every time they added a product.

This project shows how structured inputs, conditional logic, and disciplined visual design work together to create predictable, stress-free outputs.

Relational Design & Emotional UX: We didn't just design a website; we engineered a Product Experience Engine. * The "Netflix" Principle: We used high-quality photography (captured by Shannon Communications) as the hero. By using top views and cross-section "slice" shots, we provided a sensory experience that builds immediate brand trust.

Architecture of Ease: Following William Lidwell’s principle of Constraint, we moved the complexity to the backend. The goal was to make the user’s journey feel like a "warm invitation to indulge" while the backend worked like a high-efficiency factory.

The Solution

Custom Content Input/Output (CPT): We stripped away the "Shopify-style" manual updates and replaced them with a proprietary WordPress infrastructure.

"Form In, Structure Out": I built customized content fields (Custom Post Types) for products, staff, and events. Staff members simply complete a form—uploading photos, ingredients, and specs—and the system automatically populates the layout, archives, and search filters.

Conditional B2B Logic: Each dessert has its own spotlight. We used custom fields to ensure that when a specific size is selected, the corresponding spec sheet and baking info appear instantly. No manual page-building required.

The Sales Hub: We integrated an easy-access repository for the sales team. They can now share product lists and marketing assets directly from the site, supported by a custom lead-capture form that segments potential customers by business type and product interest.

The Result

Platinum-Recognized ROI: The redesign was awarded the Platinum HERMES Creative Award for overall website design. By organizing the product catalog into just four intuitive categories and four strategic tags, we reduced cognitive load for the buyer and increased conversion. The result is a fully responsive, SEO-driven asset that elevates the brand from a "manufacturer" to a "luxury partner."
