Centerville Chamber of Commerce

Client: Centerville Chamber of Commerce

Project Summary for the Website & Rebrand

The Centerville Chamber of Commerce project was a comprehensive website redesign and brand refresh tailored specifically for the unique challenges and culture of a rural, small-town community. With a population of just over 1,000, Centerville, TX—and towns like it—require a radically different approach than typical urban-based design and development strategies. These communities operate on deep-rooted relationships, limited access to resources, and a shared sense of purpose.

The rebrand began with modernizing the Chamber’s identity to reflect the heart of Centerville: resilient, connected, and proud. From the logo to the language, the goal was to build trust and foster local pride while inviting outsiders to explore what makes the town special. The website followed suit—designed as a digital hub that offers clarity, functionality, and cultural relevance.

The new site consolidated information that was previously scattered or hard to access: a dynamic business directory, clear membership benefits, simplified joining process, community event listings, local government resources, and emergency feeds. It also incorporated features tailored to small towns, such as offering one-page business websites through the Chamber as a revenue stream and service to members.

Understanding limited internet access and varying tech literacy, the site was developed with mobile responsiveness, quick load times, and an intuitive interface. Training and social media support were included to help Chamber leaders confidently manage content and community engagement moving forward.

The Centerville Chamber project not only improved communication and visibility, but also honored the spirit of rural life—proving that even the smallest towns deserve a powerful, beautiful online presence that helps their communities thrive.
