Where do I look for web hosting?I recommend and have my site hosted on Dependable. When you add in all of Dependable’s included features of the hosting to the rates you’d pay for them elsewhere, it’s quite a deal! It’s safe, stable, backed up and updated frequently, and maintained for you. No need to pay me or someone else to maintain your site!
Site District: Site District is a great option for those who want impressive performance. But, it’s a bit on the techy side. It can be difficult for newbies to decipher.
Blue Host
Site Ground: Site Ground is an inexpensive option. The downside to the low cost is that you’ll need to do a lot of work yourself to keep it up-to-date, secure, and backed-up. These are tasks you’ll perform manually either through a plugin or on the server side. Most clients hosted on platforms like this hire someone for monthly upkeep.
Where can I buy domain names?Name Cheap is the most commonly used domain registrars among my clients. I’ve not had any issues with their services.
Porkbun is based out of the Pacific Northwest. They’re a bit different, easy, and affordable.
Google sells domain names too.
Keep in mind that domains may renew at different rates than your original purchase price. This is particularly true of specialty domain extensions. A specialty domain extension replaces .com (dot com) with .media, .life, .tv, etc.
Is it possible to move my Square Space or Wix site be moved on WordPress?Absolutely. However, it’s not an automated process. Because the systems do not talk to one another, it’s a matter of copying and pasting the text.
Typically, sites need to be rewritten and redesigned when moving from these platforms because it’s part of the growth strategy for the business. In other words, we would analyze, organize, and rewrite the content in order for the site to be more effective (nurturing, influencing behaviors, like making purchases, etc.).
